Frisco has medium auburn hair that is curled tightly into two drills framing her face. When let down it is slightly wavy and reaches past her shoulders. Her long, round face is accentuated by her slightly oval green eyes, pin-straight nose and full lips. She has skin that is slightly tan from living in Australia and spending a lot of time outside. Her body is a curvy pear-shape, with an average bust and waist size.
Outside of wearing the True Cross uniform, Frisco loves short, frilly skirts and girly fashions, and enjoys wearing bright pinks, oranges and yellows. She refuses to wear anything flat, as the only shoes she likes include at least a little bit of heel.
Mother: Leah Raymond
Father: Eric Sandiego
- Erika Sandiego (older sister)
- Francine Sandiego (younger sister)
Frisco’s father is a high-ranking exorcist. He is a Tamer and Knight, his familiar a large hound with two heads and a tail made of steel. Her mother is an emergency surgeon who works very many late shifts. Erika is one year away from graduating to a full-fledged exorcist as a Knight. Francine is also aiming to become a surgeon like their mother, and she’s already been skipped ahead a grade for her intellect.
Frisco comes off as cold above anything else. She keeps to herself and is quiet, especially around large crowds of people. She prefers to sit alone and reflect on the things happening around her than actually participate in conversations and club activities. When Frisco does speak, she sounds sarcastic and disinterested. She’s actually shy however, and extremely insecure about herself in relation to other people. Frisco feels like she constantly needs to prove herself and is really competitive. She works hard at everything she does, and just gets more motivated when her efforts prove fruitless. Most of her time is spent studying or practicing some other thing. She has no fear of demons and things associated, as she was already desensitized to it in her childhood.
Likes: small furry creatures, cheesecake, noodles, reading outside during spring days
Dislikes: cramped and dark spaces, losing any competition, the sound of guns
Frisco has a natural affinity as a tamer. She works hard to gain the respect and trust of her familiar, Ba’al so that he will fight for her. Ba’al is a gluttonous demon that has a seemingly endless supply of greedy hands to pull objects and living things to hell. He is a very high-level demon that can only be avoided by either shutting the coffin’s (the one he’s sealed in) doors or by using a blade to cut the hands as they come for you.
She is also training to learn how to use seals and other strange spells on demons just as her father did.
Frisco is a decent writer, and an even better actress. She’s part of the drama club, and takes part in many musicals and plays. She studies hard and it shows, as her grade point average is high.
When carrying around her familiar, she cannot run; it’s too heavy. She is not physically strong, and does not carry any other weapons with her, so if one can manage to fend off her familiar, she has no other ways of fighting back. Since she is not a fully trained Tamer, often Ba’al will cease to listen to her commands and start acting of its own accord.
Frisco was born in Melbourne, Australia. Her parents were busy people, but they tried as much as they could to spend a lot of time with Frisco and her siblings. Eric Sandiego had to travel the world for his line of work with his partner and childhood friend Emiko Kimishima, and their mother spent a lot of time at the local hospital, so for the most part Erika and Frisco were in daycare. Francine spent a lot of time at home with a babysitter. Sometimes her father’s work followed him home, and he would have to fight demons with his familiar while the children ran and hid in the closet or upstairs. During these times they were exposed to many different kinds of demons, and more importantly for Frisco, the sound of Emiko’s guns. After one particularly bad attack that she remembered vividly, Frisco’s father and Emiko put seals and trap spells around the house to protect the family. They lived a relatively normal life.
When she got into kindergarten, she was exposed to the wonderful world of books. She was just learning to read, but Frisco loved it and would take out stacks of books from the library. It didn’t matter what kind of book, she read them all. Her elementary school was small though, and so was the library. By the third grade she’d read all the books in the library when her librarian, taking pity on her, decided to tell her about a special area in the back where all kinds of books were kept. These books were all related to demons and exorcism. One book in particular was a summoning book. It was meant for beginner exorcists but Frisco took it home anyways. This was one book that she didn’t finish in a day.
Instead Frisco decided to try out some of the summoning spells just like she’d seen her dad do sometimes. She had to keep it a secret though so it would be a surprise when she showed her parents. Of course the seals prevented lower and medium class demons from being summoned. She was determined though, and so over the next year she continued to practice in the basement of her home where her father kept all sorts of strange items used for this sort of thing. Eventually she made it to the end of the book and there was one demon left to try out. Unbeknownst to her, the demon was Ba’al, a high-ranking demon that could easily bypass her father’s seals. Using a coffin with several strange symbols drawn onto it using crushed bugs, she performed the summoning. And it did work for about five minutes, until Ba’al realized that he’d been summoned by a weakling. He instantly lashed out and started destroying the place. Luckily Frisco’s father had been at home, and he and his familiar took down Ba’al and sealed him in the coffin from which he was summoned. He was amazed by her skill at summoning demons but was extremely upset that she’d done it without telling him about it. After the initial shock and fixing the house up, Emiko approached Erik and suggested taking Frisco under her wing. She said that Frisco’s natural affinity for summoning demons would be very useful to her as a Tamer. Eric agreed only under the condition that he would be oversee her progress.
Emiko took Frisco back to Japan with her, and until she reached highschool age, Emiko homeschooled Frisco and taught her Japanese. She also tried to help her as a Tamer, though it was difficult as she was a Dragoon and did not know how to take on demons as familiars. Up until now Frisco was still determined to make Ba’al obey her. Emiko decided to send Frisco to True Cross Academy so that she would receive training as an exorcist as well as other kinds of education, and perhaps meet other people who would affect her life…
Rin Okumura: He respects her and how she’s putting in a lot of effort to try and be the best she could be. He likes to talk to her even though she doesn’t respond much.
Ryuji: He cannot stand her quiet nature, and thinks she’s absolutely useless. In his opinion, she isn’t taking her exorcist training seriously enough and should just consider giving up.
Shima and Konekomaru: Shima tried to flirt with her but utterly failed. Now he just aims to get her to open up some more. Konekomaru tries to be friendly, but he is terrified of her familiar.
Izumo: The two don’t interact much. She has little patience for Frisco.
Cassiel de Mancini: She jokingly calls him her stalker (little does she know the truth). She feels her heart flutter when he looks at her, but she doesn’t have the courage to approach him and ask him why he does so.
Renata Diya: Renata is obviously using her, but Frisco doesn’t have the heart to push the girl away. They’re both foreigners and she connects with Renata because of this. It scares her to think that Renata is planning something dangerous.
Rocket: His enthusiasm and energy annoys Frisco. She doesn’t mind his company too much though. He is wary of her familiar and makes it known that he is a little bit afraid of her.
Mia Pion: The woman finds Frisco unbearably useless. She casually jeers at the girl, telling her that she’s “just another useless student”.
Isaiah Shüßer: They met outside her dormitory and hit it off since then. She feels comfortable around him, and tells him about her hopes and aspirations. He finds her perseverance endearing and lets her know how cute she is. They are currently dating.
